The print
What sizes do marathon route prints come in?
- Six sizes: A4 (21×29.7cm), A3 (29.7×42cm), A2 (42×59.4cm), A1 (59.4×84.1cm), 18"×24" (45×61cm), 24"×36" (61×91cm). A2 is the most popular: large enough for a 26.2-mile course to stay legible with personalised text beneath it, without dominating a wall.
How much does a marathon route print cost?
- Marathon route prints run from £29 for A4 to £68 for A1 or 24×36in. City running maps run from £24 to £63. Every print is made to order; prices include VAT where applicable and delivery to the UK and EU.
What paper are the prints made on?
- Every print is giclée-printed on 200 gsm matte fine-art paper, smooth and natural white, with archival pigment inks, chosen for depth of black rather than gloss. It is the only stock offered, so the size you pick is the only thing that changes the price.
Can I buy a print framed?
- Yes, at A2, A3 and A4, in black, white or oak-effect: Solid wood, 2 cm face, shatterproof acrylic glazing, no mount. Arrives ready to hang. A framed marathon print is £64 at A4, £79 at A3 and £99 at A2, and a framed city map £59 at A4, £74 at A3 and £94 at A2. Framed prints are delivered to the UK, the EU (except Iceland), the US, Australia, New Zealand, Japan and Singapore.
Where are the prints made?
- Designed in our London studio, then printed at a partner lab close to you: UK orders print in the UK, US orders in the US, and most European orders inside Europe. That means shorter journeys and lower emissions. Each one is printed after it is ordered rather than held in stock, which is why the route, palette and personalised text can be set per print instead of chosen from a fixed range.
Personalising
What can I personalise on the print?
- Your name, your finish time, the race date and your bib number. You choose the palette and size as well. The route itself is drawn from the verified official course, so the map is accurate to the race you actually ran.
Delivery
How long does delivery take?
- Prints are made to order. UK delivery is 3 to 6 business days, the European Union 5 to 9 business days, the United States and Canada 5 to 9 business days, and Australia, New Zealand and Asia 7 to 12 business days. Rest of world is 7 to 14 business days.
How much is shipping?
- Delivery to the UK and EU is free. Elsewhere: United States & Canada £8.95, Australia, NZ & Asia £11.75, Rest of world £12.65. One flat rate per destination, however many prints are in your bag, shown in your bag before you pay.
Returns
Can I return a print?
- Because each poster is custom-made to your specification, we cannot accept returns for a change of mind. This is permitted under the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 (Regulation 28(1)(b)) for bespoke goods.
What if my print arrives damaged or misprinted?
- Contact hello@urbanlines.co.uk within 14 days of receipt with photographs. If a print arrives damaged in transit, has a quality defect, or does not match what you ordered, it is reprinted and reshipped at no cost.

Which marathons can I get a print of?
- We hold verified course data for 656 races across 73 countries: 349 marathons, 278 half marathons, 17 ultras and 12 shorter road races. 399 of them have ready-made editions with their own artwork, including London, Berlin, Boston, New York and Tokyo; the rest are built in the route configurator. Do you do half marathon prints?
- Yes. We hold course data for 278 half marathons alongside 349 marathons, and 197 of the halves have ready-made editions.
