The course

Start in the dark at the F1 Pit Building. The opening kilometres run out along Nicoll Highway, over Merdeka Bridge, around the National Stadium and back through Suntec City and the Fountain of Wealth, a loop of the Kallang basin done before first light. Then east. Onto Ophir Road, up the climb onto the East Coast Parkway, and out towards the sea. East Coast Park is flat, dark and long: out to the turn at Cyclist Park, back along Marina East Drive, then through Gardens by the Bay and onto Marina Boulevard as it gets light. The second half turns west, past VivoCity and onto West Coast Highway. No shade, a long gradual drag, full daylight and full humidity. The organisers would later call it a challenging elevation point and take it out. The finish comes back into the colonial centre, past the Fullerton to Anderson Bridge. This is the 2024 course. From 2025 West Coast Highway and Sheares Avenue were removed and the race finishes on the Padang itself.

Start
F1 Pit Building, Republic Boulevard, Marina Bay
Finish
Anderson Bridge, beside the Fullerton, with the race village on the Padang beyond (2024 course; the finish moved onto the Padang itself from 2025)
Shape
loop
Terrain
Flat coastal city roads. The two efforts on the 2024 course are the climb up onto the East Coast Parkway early on and the long unshaded drag along West Coast Highway in the second half — the organisers removed the latter for 2025 as a challenging elevation point. Heat and humidity, not gradient, are the defining difficulty.
